Cortisol is essential for life, without it we wouldn’t get out of bed in the mornings! It is one of the key hormones involved in regulating our stress response and signals to many systems, glands and organs to take action. Chronic stress means chronic cortisol levels and that’s where the problems start arising.
We explore the 5 types of stress which all collectively contribute to our overall cortisol levels, we discuss the symptoms to look out for and tips to manage the impact of cortisol.
